Rebecca Lynn, Morgenthaler Ventures
Rebecca is a partner at Morgenthaler Ventures where she focuses on early-stage investments in health IT, mobile, Internet services and financial services. She serves on the boards of Practice Fusion, Lending Club, Socrata, and Pageonce. Rebecca began her career at Procter and Gamble and focused on international new product market entry. She then joined NextCard where she served as the vice president of marketing, managing one of the top-five largest online marketing efforts at the time. Rebecca passed the California State Bar and has a focus on intellectual property litigation and corporate law. Rebecca is an inventor on several issued patents. She was also published in the Berkeley Law and Technology Journal.
Ching Wu, Morgenthaler Ventures
Ching is the vice president of marketing at Morgenthaler Ventures where she manages Morgenthaler's communications with press, portfolio companies and entrepreneurs. Previous to joining Morgenthaler, she worked at startups (served as director of MarCom at Marimba and director of marketing at Illustra Technologies), big companies (senior MarCom roles at Sun Microsystems in the US and Asia) and agencies (account executive at Ogilvy & Mather). She has a B.S. in international politics from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and has served as a guest lecturer on global entrepreneurial marketing at Stanford University's Department of Management Science and Engineering.
Ryan Howard, Practice Fusion
Ryan founded Practice Fusion in 2005 and is the heart and soul of our organization. At the age of 30, Ryan used his background in technology, health IT and business to create a completely new approach to Electronic Health Records. He envisioned a free, web-based EHR system that would serve the needs of small medical practices around the US. Now, Practice Fusion is the fastest growing EHR in the country and Ryan exemplifies a new breed of health IT leaders revolutionizing the doctor's office. Young, energetic and all about changing the status quo, Ryan continues to lead Practice Fusion as CEO and chairman.
Matt Holt, Health 2.0
Matt is the founder of The Health Care Blog and a co-founder of the Health 2.0 Conference, the leading showcase of innovative technologies in health care. With over 20 years in the industry as a generalist forecaster and strategist, he has worked for renowned forecasting and polling organizations, conducted several ground breaking in-depth studies about many aspects of health care, and delivered several keynote addresses. Matt specializes in health IT, pharmaceuticals, health plans and policy issues.
Shai Goldman, SVB
Shai Goldman runs the SVB Accelerator program, which is an early-stage startup practice based in New York. SVB Accelerator focuses on providing banking services to early-stage startups, organizing events to bring startups and VCs together, and assisting startups with their fundraising process. Previously, Shai held the same role but was based in the Bay Area. Prior to that, Shai was part of SVB Private Banking, providing personal financial solutions to venture capitalists in the Bay Area. He also sits on NYC Advisory Board of Astia, an innovative global not-for-profit organization for women entrepreneurs.
